Overview
Sections are the top-level building blocks of your store's pages. Each section is a full-width container that holds content blocks. In the Shopify theme editor, you add sections to your pages and then fill them with blocks.
Section Settings
Every section in Wave provides a consistent set of settings that control its appearance, spacing, and behavior. These settings appear in the section's configuration panel in the theme editor.
Section Presets
Wave includes a powerful generic Section component that accepts any theme block. This single section comes with 28 pre-built presets — ready-made layouts that you can add from the theme editor and customize to your needs.
Page Templates
Wave comes with 48+ pre-built page templates covering every store page type. Templates define the default layout and sections for a page. You can customize them in the theme editor and create additional template variants.
Header & Footer
These sections make up the global navigation and branding areas of your store. They appear on every page as part of section groups.
Hero Sections
Hero sections are full-width, high-impact banners designed for the top of your pages. Wave includes 7 hero section variants, each with a different layout and visual style.
Collection Sections
Wave includes 20 collection section variants for showcasing your product collections in different layouts and styles.
Product Sections
Wave includes 23 product-related sections for featuring, listing, and selling products across your store.
Content Sections
Wave includes 27 content sections for building informational pages, brand stories, and engaging content layouts.
Testimonial Sections
Wave includes 6 testimonial section variants for displaying customer reviews, stories, and social proof.
Interactive Sections
Wave includes 10 interactive sections that engage visitors with dynamic, clickable, and visual experiences.
Popup Sections
Wave includes 5 popup sections that display overlay content triggered by page load, scroll, or exit intent.
